Step by step guide
1. Open Allo to prepare your phone line
Open the app
Open the account tab, then tap on your Allo phone line
Temporarily disable the gatekeeper in order to be able to receive the phone call from Meta/WhatsApp.
2. Create an account on WhatsApp
Download WhatsApp and open the app
Enter your Allo phone line, confirm it’s the right phone number
When asked for a validation code, tap on “Didn’t receive a verification code”. Allo can’t receive texts just yet.
Wait for the second option to become available, then tap on “Voice call”
Pick-up the call from Meta. If asked by the generated voice, tap on the number, then take notes of the communicated validation code. Enter this code into WhatsApp
That’s it. You can now finish your account creation
If you were using a gatekeeper, go back to Allo to re-enable the option.
